ANAS President, Academician Akif Alizadeh met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in our country

ANAS President, Academician Akif Alizadeh received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Azerbaijan Maya Christov.

Speaking in detail about the history and activities of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh informed the guest about scientific research conducted in the scientific institutions and organizations of the Academy. Expressing his interest in expanding cooperation between the academies of both countries, ANAS President noted that, he is ready to render all possible support in this area.

Maya Hristova thanked the leadership of ANAS for his sincere reception. Talking about the history of friendly relations between our countries, the ambassador noted that a new stage of development of relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria began a few years ago. Speaking about the reforms that are being carried out in the field of Bulgaria's education, Maya Hristova spoke about the country's educational programs. The Ambassador noted that, an event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Bulgaria will be held in Baku this June and invited the president of ANAS to take part in this event.

Head of ANAS Office of Public Relations and Science Popularization Zulfugar Farzaliyev also took part in the meeting.
