"Thomson Reuters" will hold workshops in academic institutions and organizations

October 11 this year, an agreement was signed on cooperation between ANAS and the agency "Thomson Reuters", which is widely known among the international scientific community as a provider and a source of scientific and analytical information.

The agreement reflected the use of bibliometric network "Thomson Reuters" platform ( "Web of Science") scientists and experts of more than 40 scientific research institutions of ANAS. It also provides regular seminars and workshops devoted to the rules of publishing articles in journals included in the agency's expert base, innovations derived in scientific institutions, as well as recognition of the scientists on the international stage.

The meeting, which was held at the Presidium of ANAS with the Azerbaijani representative of the agency "Thomson Reuters" Aygun Babazadeh, aimed to discuss issues related to the execution of a cooperation agreement.

First, Academician-Secretary of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Information Technology, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, speaking about the importance of cooperation and expressed confidence that this step will contribute to getting our country more important scientific achievements, as well as in the process of integration of Azerbaijani science into the international space. He noted that currently the main goal is to ensure the implementation of the necessary measures, arising from the terms of the contract, as well as the definition of the tasks ahead.

The scientist said that Institute of Information Technology led by him is ready to provide necessary assistance and support in the organization of seminars and training for institutions and organizations of ANAS.

Then A.Babazadeh, informing the curriculum "Thomson Reuters", noted that the trainings are held in the in-class format, webinars and certification programs, participants are given detailed information about the rules of using the platform, and writing articles.

According to her, the agency "Thomson Reuters" provides for the organization of trainings, for journal editors, and research scientists. The main purpose - the dissemination of information concerning the conditions required for the management of scientific journals in accordance with international requirements, the development of new ways to attract exquisite articles and enable advanced scientific journals in the database world.

Finally, a decision was made on the preparation of the Action Plan for the implementation of the execution of a cooperation agreement signed between ANAS and the agency "Thomson Reuters".
