4th Congress of the CIS countries Botanic Gardens will be held
From September 18 to 21, Institute of Dendrology of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences will host for 4th Congress of the CIS countries Botanic Gardens and international scientific conference “The impact of climate change on the biodiversity of flora” organized by International Association of Academies of Sciences.
Event organizers are ANAS Institute of Dendrology, General Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences on behalf of N.V.Sisin, Central Botanical Garden of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences, General Botanical Garden of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Sciences, Botanical Garden on behalf of E.Z.Karayev at the Kyrgyzstan National Academy of Sciences, International N.N. Grishko Botanical Garden of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences and Abkhazia Botanical Garden.
The Congress will be listened reports on the work of the commissions of the Botanical gardens of the CIS countries, botanical gardens, arboretum and environmental centers of the CIS countries, the results of last year and the first semiannual reports of the structure in 2017.
The event will be organized under the following headings:
- Impact of global change on biodiversity and biological resources;
- The impact of environmental pollutants on climate change;
- The impact of climate change on the distribution, habitat, and the number of species;
- The study of plant biodiversity in conditions in vitro, in situ, ex situ and legal framework for biodiversity conservation;
- Influence of natural and anthropogenic factors on biodiversity;
- Problems of biodiversity conservation.

Note that the decision to hold the congress in the Institute of Dendrology of ANAS was accepted at the III Congress of the Society of Botanic Gardens of the CIS countries, organized last year in the State scientific institution of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
