Central Scientific Library of hosted a presentation of the Foundation of periodical press
Central Scientific Library (CSL) held a presentation of Foundation of periodical press.
Director of the Library, PhD in Medicine Leyla Imanova spoke about the importance of the first presentation of 2017 - the periodical press Foundation, on the results of 2016 and the achievements of the structure led by it. It was noted that in comparison with other libraries in the country's Central Scientific Library - the first library, get permission to use electronical resources applied contract copyright, put forward recommendations reformnogo nature of the "Law on the Press".
CSL is also the first library started to apply a single control system. The library project was first prepared by the National Digital Memory and made operative again processes of registration, digitization and storage.
It was noted that, the library has the largest online catalog (94000) Turkic-speaking sources in Azerbaijan. As a result of a routine search in the electronic catalog and funds in Azerbaijan were founded and digitized 17 ancient books.
L.Imanova has noted that, in the section of Azerbaijani language of the Electronic Encyclopedia Wikipedia the articles are constantly edited, and their number promptly grows.
It was reported that, the purpose of the system and training materials in Wikipedia related to Azerbaijan at the institutions of ANAS and other organizations started teaching "Placement of articles in Wikipedia", 28 of which have already been passed.
Head of the Department of International Relations and Public Affairs Mubariz Goyushlu spoke about the role of media in objective coverage of the operations.
Chief Editor of "Yeni Azerbaijan" newspaper, Doctor of Political Sciences Hikmat Babaoglu noted the important role of CSL in the formation and protection of the national memory through the introduction of science and culture in the public opinion.
Told about implementation of the library of important works, H.Babaoglu put forward a proposal for delivery at CSL of scientific English speaking journals of Japanese scientific journals. He also suggested to place in an electronic format in electronic base of library daily releases of newspapers.
Leading researcher of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of ANAS, Doctor of History Gullu Ёlogly, editor in chief of "Azerbaijan" of Azerbaijan Writers Union Intigam Gasimzadeh, a member of the Board of the Press Council, head of the press service of the Baku international center of multiculturalism Yadigar Mammadli, executive secretary of the journal "Turkic" of ANAS Elchin Ibrahimov spoke about the importance stored in the archive at CSL valuable documents, as well as the level of rendered services here.
In conclusion, the participants of the event visited the archive and library funds, where samples of the periodical press are stored.
