Free Trade Union of the Institute of Zoology held a report-electional meeting

On March 5, 2024, a report-election meeting of the Free Trade Union of the Zoology Institute of MSERA was held. General Director of the institute, PhD in Agrarian sciences, Assoc. Prof. Aladdin Eyvazov opened the event with his opening speech, and noted that Trade Unions are independent institutions not being attached to the governmental bodies, enterprises, political parties and public associations, and drew attention to the fact that TUs plays an important role in the social and public life of employees.

At the meeting, the report on the activities of ANAS Institute of Zoology Trade Union during 2022-2023 was listened. The chairwoman of the Trade Union Gulnara Aslanova, emphasized in her report that during the period of her activity, she held a responsible approach to the organization's activities and done practical work in the field of protecting the employees' labor and other labor-related social rights. Later, the Chairman of the Trade Union of the Institute of Botany, Associate Professor, Head of Algology and Lichenobryology Laboratory Shekar Mukhtarova, who was invited to the meeting, spoke about the legal aspects of the institution's activity and said that one of the main tasks of the Trade Union is to protect the rights and interests of workers.

Those who spoke at the event discussed the activities of TU in 2022-2023 and voiced their suggestions and recommendations.

Finally, were elected new staff members of the institute's Trade Union and Gulnara Aslanova, an employee of the Institute, was elected to the post of chairwoman of the Trade Union, through open voting.
