Employees of the Terresterial Vertebrates Laboratory were on an expedition in the territory of Kyzylaghaj National Park

On December 7-11, 2023, the employees of MSERA Institute of Zoology, "Terresterial Vertebrates" Laboratory - Ph.D. Tavakkul Isgandarov, Dr. Tahir Karimov, Ph.D. Gulbaniz Gasimova and a laboratory assistant Zivarkhanum Ibrahimli have been on an expedition in the territory of Kyzylaghaj National Park with the purpose of studying the influence of weather (temperature, lighting, rain, wind, fog) and feeding conditions on the daily activities of terrestrial vertebrates (amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals) during the winter season. Route and stationary observation methods were utilized for this. Observations and registrations were carried out in the Big and Small Gulfs of the Caspian water area of the park, as well as in dry coastal areas. The species encountered and observed, were recorded.
