A preliminary discussion of the dissertation was held

The preliminary discussion of the dissertation work dubbed "Herring fishes of the Middle and South Caspian (systematics, ecology, distribution and reserve) by Suleyman Shakir oglu Suleymanov, acting head of the Hidrobiology Laboratory, PhD in Biology, Assoc. Prof., was held at the meeting of MSE Institute of Zoology was held on December 19, 2023. The supervisor of the dissertation work is Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Rauf Vahid oghlu Hajiyev.

Taking into account the scientific and practical importance of the dissertation work,  S.S. Suleymanov's thesis entitled "Herring fishes of the Middle and South Caspian (systematics, ecology, distribution and reserve)" was considered appropriate to submit for defense as it met the requirements set by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for doctoral theses in Biology in order to receive the degree of Doctor of Sciences in Biological Sciences.
