The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Zoology of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under MSERA

On November 20, 2023, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Zoology was held. Aladdin Eyvazov, Acting General Director of the Institute, Assoc. Prof., PhD in Agriculture, opened the event and talked about the anniversaries of the institute's employees. He congratulated 75th anniversary of Ilham Alakbarov, the Head of Protozoology Laboratory, corresponding member of ANAS, 65th anniversary of Assoc. Prof. Ellada Huseynova, the leading researcher of Terrestrial Invertebrates Laboratory, PhD in Biology, 65th anniversary of Yashar Seyidli, the leading researcher of Parasitology Laboratory, PhD in Biology, 65th anniversary of the Suleyman Suleymanov, the Acting Head of the Hydrobiology laboratory, PhD in Biology, Assoc. Prof. Suleyman Suleymanov, the 60th anniversary of Jala Hasanova, the leading researcher of the Laboratory of Biochemistry of Parasite-Host Relations, PhD in Biology, Assoc. Prof., and 55th anniversary of Shukur Guliyev, the leading researcher of the Hydrobiology Laboratory, Assoc. Prof., wished them robust health and success in a difficult and honorable life, as well as presented the Honorary Decrees of the Institute of Zoology.
During the event, the Head Laboratory of Biochemistry of Parasite-Host Relations, Assoc. Prof. Elshad Ahmadov made a speech on the publication of the monograph "Parasite-host relations in helminthosis (morphological, functional, ecological aspects)" by senior researcher of the Laboratory of Parasitology, Assoc. Prof.  Ali Nasirov.
Later, the scientific secretary of the Institute of Zoology, PhD in Biology, Assoc. Prof. Sara Aliyeva provided information about the status of the final reports including, on the senior researcher of the Biochemistry Laboratory of Parasite-Host Relations, PhD in Biology Nurana Hajiyeva and the senior researcher of Protozoology laboratory Turkan Gurbanova to receive the scientific title of Associate Professor in specialty 2429.01 – “Parasitology”, while Elyana Tahirova to receive the scientific title of Associate Professor in specialty 2401.01- "Zoology”. Then a petition was filed before the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan through a secret ballot.
At the end of the event, a number of decisions were made and a video dedicated to the life and activities of ANAS corresponding member Ilham Alakbarov was presented.
