Institute of Zoology held an event dedicated to the International "Participation of Women and Girls in Science"

Organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Experts of the Institute of Zoology of the Ministry of Science and Education, an event dedicated to the International "Participation of Women and Girls in Science" day was held on February 11. The celebration of this day reminds of the role of women and young girls in scientific fields, as well as the importance of their participation in science.

Leyla Nadirli, the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Experts, scientific worker of the Laboratory of Terrestrial Vertebrates, spoke at the event and informed about the history of the involvement of young girls in education in Azerbaijan, women who signed the firsts in world science, and the important role of women in the fields of science and education.

Then Arzu Guliyeva, a junior researcher of the Hydrobiology Laboratory, delivered a speech about the achievements of women who are doctors of sciences of the Institute of Zoology.

The temporary head of the International Relations Department Ph.D. in Biology Elyana Tahirova advised young scientists to follow our women scientists who have achieved great achievements in zoology as an example, to follow their path and to be brave in the example of young women scientists and real Azerbaijani ladies of our republic, to actively participate in the path of science and wished success in their future activities.

Acting Head of the Laboratory of Terrestrial Invertebrates Ph.D. in Biology, Assoc. Prof. Güler Huseynzadeh welcomed young researchers' interest in science despite the difficulties in the field of science and emphasized that he has high hopes that they will succeed in their future scientific achievements.
