The Zoology working group held a meeting concerning the preparation of the III edition of the "Red Book"

The next meeting of the Zoology working group on the preparation of the III edition of the "Red Book" of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in the assembly hall of the Institute of Zoology of the AR Ministry of Science and Education.
The meeting brought together the representatives of the Institute of Zoology, zoologist scientists of the Baku State University, Azerbaijan Ornithological Society, etc. Organizations.
Academician Irada Huseynova, Vice-President of ANAS, who opened the meeting informed about the issues that were raised at the meeting of the Editorial Board and working groups of ANAS of the III edition of the "Red Book" that took place a few days ago and which are important to reach a common decision, and in general, highly appreciated merits of the zoologists in relevant directions.
Then the Acting Director of the Institute of Zoology, PhD in Agrarian Sciences Aladdin Eyvazov, Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Elshad Ahmadov emphasized that the issues to be agreed on the III edition of the "Red Book" were widely discussed in the previous days and they were close to joint decisions.
In the discussions that followed, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Ornithological Society, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Elchin Sultanov, head of the Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Tavakkul Isgandarov, a leading Researcher, PhD in Biology Hafiz Mukhtarov, Department Head of Baku State University, Department of Biology PhD, Associate Professor Abulfaz Taghiyev and others participated.
During the meeting, the general format of the distribution maps to be used in the essays written on species, the literature lists and their references and other similar issues were discussed, and the experience of the CIS countries and Turkey in relevant fields was addressed.
Concluding the discussions, Academician Irada Huseynova stressed out that the importance of the meeting and the decisions made, said that similar issues will be discussed with botanists in the next days, and then the final decisions will be made again at a joint meeting of all groups.
