The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Zoology was held

On October 5, 2022, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Zoology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. Acting director of the institute, Associate Professor Aladdin Eyvazov, opening the meeting familiarized the council members with the issues on the agenda.

At the beginning of the meeting, A. Eyvazov discussed the plans and proposals related to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On declaring 2023 the year of Heydar Aliyev in the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated September 29, 2022 with the council members. The Executive Director of the Institute, PhD, Associate Professor Elshad Ahmadov provided extensive information about the stage of preparation for the III edition of the "Red Book". Meanwhile, E. Ahmadov talked about the publication of the National Information System of Azerbaijan Fauna (Vertebrates) and brought the final situation to the attention of the council members. It should be noted that the publication is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev. Scientific secretary of the institute PhD Sara Aliyeva gave a report on the results of scientific research conducted in 2022.

Also at the meeting, the head of the Education Department, PhD in Biology Gulbeniz Nadirova spoke about the results of admission to master's, doctoranture and dissertanture trainings for the 2022 academic year. It was solicited for the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan due to give Konül Aslan gizi Tapdigova, the employee of the institute, the title of Associate Professor for scientific activity in the specialty 2401.01- "Zoology".

Finally, various issues were discussed and relevant decisions were made.
