The memory of our martyrs was commemorated at the Institute of Zoology
On September 27 - Remembrance Day, the employees of the Institute of Zoology visited the II Alley of Martyrs and laid flowers on their graves, commemorating the dear memory of our heroes who passed away for the freedom of our land.
Later, an event dedicated to September 27 - Memorial Day was held at the Institute of Zoology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event, which began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was commemorated with a minute's silence in memory of the sons of the country who heroically died for the territorial integrity of our country.
Acting Director of the Institute of Zoology, Associate Professor Aladdin Eyvazov opened the event and highlighted the Remembrance Day, which was established according to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020, as a day dedicated to our soldiers and officers, including to all our martyrs, who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and passed away for the territorial integrity of our country. He noted that it is an expression of deep respect.
A. Eyvazov told the event participants about the history of our Victory, the bravery and dedication of the martyrs and veterans of the Patriotic War who showed unparalleled heroism in liberating our lands from enemy aggression. He emphasized that the liberation of our cities and villages, which have been under occupation for nearly 30 years, the restoration of the territorial integrity of our country, the end of the displacement life of the internally displaced persons and the creation of opportunities to return to their native lands is the most magnificent event of our modern history.
At the meeting, Executive Director of the institute, Ph.D. Elshad Ahmadov, the chairman of the First Party Organization of the Institute of Zoology of YAP Yasamal region, Hafiz Mukhtarov, and the director of the Center of Applied Zoology, Ph.D. Barat Ahmadov, spoke and praised the bravery of the fighting sons and daughters of Azerbaijan, participating in the Patriotic War.
