Institute of Zoology held a preliminary discussion of the doctoral dissertation

On February 28, 2022, Institute of Zoology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences hosted a preliminary discussion of the dissertation of Sevinj Saadat gyzy Rajabova, a researcher of the Terrestrial Vertebrates Laboratory, on "Sedentary birds of the south-eastern region of Azerbaijan, factors affecting them and ways of protection".
The scientific supervisor of the dissertation is the head of the Department of Zoology and Physiology of Baku State University, Ph.D. in Biology, Associate Professor Abulfaz Naghy oglu Tagiyev.
For the first time, the dissertation presented the main results by studying the migratory birds of the south-eastern region of Azerbaijan, the factors affecting them and ways of protection. After extensive discussions, the dissertation on "Sedentary birds of the south-eastern region of Azerbaijan, factors affecting them and ways of protection" in specialty “Zoology” was considered expedient to submit for the next stage of scientific discussions due to get PhD degree as it meets the requirements of doctoral dissertations put by SAC under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the degree of Ph.D. of Biological Sciences.
