Employees of the Laboratory of Terrestrial Invertebrates were on the expedition in Gazakh and Agstafa regions

The chief researcher of the Laboratory of Terrestrial Invertebrates of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, Doctor of Biological Sciences Natalya Snegova, leading researchers – Ph.Ds in Biological Sciences Gular Huseynzade and Ilhama Karimova visited Gazakh and Agstafa regions on June 17-24.
Researchers have identified the territories of Demirchiler, Yukhari Salahli, Ashagi Salahli, Dash Salahli, Alpout, Poylu, 1st Shikhli villages, Jeyranchol settlement, surrounding of Jandar lake, Keshikchidag State Cultural Reserve, as well as meadows, roadsides, forests and forest areas along the Kura River, collected entomological materials. In the dark, with the light trap mainly have gathered species of Trichoptera, Ephemeroptera, Formicidae, insects and butterflies. During the daytime material collection of Apoidea dragonflies and insects were obtained. The materials were brought to the laboratory for examination.
Some species to be included in the third edition of the Red Book of the Republic of Azerbaijan were also monitored in the area.
