Discussed research directions among the Institute of Zoology and the relevant institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture

Institute of Zoology of ANAS has realized an online meeting via the Agrarian Science and Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MA).
The event discussed the research work to be carried out jointly with the particular institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, proposals to solve problems related to animal and plant diseases.
The meeting brought together Farman Karimov, Ph.D. in Agrarian Sciences, Deputy Director for Science of the Center for Agrarian Science and Innovation, including directors and leading specialists of Veterinary, Plant Protection, and Technical Plants, Agricultural and Livestock Research Institutes.
Making a speech at the event, Director of the Institute of Zoology, Ph.D. in Agrarian Sciences, Associate Professor Aladdin Eyvazov has informed about the research works to be carried with relevant institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture in the field of parasitology, zoology, and entomology, as well as, works to be conducted in the liberated areas. Speaking about the cooperation agreements between the Institute of Zoology and the Veterinary, Vegetable and Animal Husbandry Research Institutes of the Ministry of Agriculture, the scientist drew attention to the researches are going to be implemented on the following topics - “Comprehensive study of species diversity of animal parasitic fauna, the structure of parasitocenoses, clarification of circulation mechanisms of invasion between wild and farm animals”, "Increase of effective entomophagous for releasing into acrocyanoses due to biological control of agricultural plant pests", and "Development of effective struggling measures against pathogens in beekeeping".
Finally, discussions were held on expanding joint cooperation.
