Leading scientific employees of the Hydrobiological Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Anvar Jalilov and Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Suleyman Suleymanov was on an expedition on 01.07.2019 - 03.07.2019 in order to collect samples of zooplankton and fauna in the coastal waters of the Middle Gazi - Sumgait area of water. During the expedition, samples of zooplankton and ichthyofauna were collected from 3 stationary stations identified in the Middle Gaza Strip - Sumgayit.

26 fish of 6 species were observed, and 5 zooplankton samples were packaged during the study.

It should be noted that the study will provide information on the current state of biodiversity in zooplankton and ichthyofauna in the Middle Caspian area of water.
