The last stage of the competition "Our native language is our national value" held

At the event, Deputy Chairman of the Competition Commission, Director of the Institute of Linguistics after Nasimi, Academician Naghisoylu Mohsun reported that, the project was carried out according to the order of Academician Akif Alizadeh dated September 22, 2017. He noted that, the aim of the competition is to increase the feeling of love and respect for the native language, encourage serious compliance with the norms of the literary language in writing and in oral speech.

Then, the project coordinator, head of the Education Department of the Institute of Linguistics, Ph.D. in Philology Gatiba Vagifgizi noted that, the competition was held among the undergraduates and doctoral students studying at ANAS. She noted that, about 140 people from various institutes of ANAS were registered to participate in the competition, 60 of which were approved.

Then, the final stage of the competition was held, in which were presented samples of selected poems from classical and modern Azerbaijani poetry.

Noted that, commission members have assessed the activity of participants as a 10-point system. At the end of the competition, three people who have scored high will be awarded a cash prize.
