The great phase of ANAS development is connected with the name of Heydar Aliyev

December 8, a scientific session "Heydar Aliyev: Time and Modernity" was carried out at the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

Opening the event, President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh spoke about the historical merits of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the state and the people, its activities in the field of political, economic and cultural development. Academician noted that during the first phase of national leader’s managment science, literature and art of Azerbaijan experienced its golden period. Recalling that in difficult times the great leader came to rescue the people of Azerbaijan, Academician Akif Alizadeh said that as a result of his activity, our country embarked on the path of development, "National leader always cared about science. It is no coincidence that since he came to power for the second time began a new period in the development of Azerbaijan science. Today, this policy successfully is continued by President Ilham Aliyev. The national leader is responsible for the successful development of Azerbaijan in all spheres. Today, we respectfully honor the memory of the great leader who is always with us."

Then, chairman of the Azerbaijan Republic Council of Elders, MP Fattah Heydarov deliverd a lecture on "A great leader and a great savior". He noted that to put into words the merits of the national leader of Azerbaijan is impossible: "In the Soviet period, Azerbaijan has not the most prominent position among the 15 states. In 1969 great leader came to power and has built the new Azerbaijan with his strong arms, improved the living conditions of people. The session on the topic "Azerbaijan science from Heydar Aliyev to Ilham Aliyev" was made by Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli. He noted that national leader Heydar Aliyev was the organizer and ideological leader of the domestic science, he was the statesman who defined the strategy of its half-century development: "The life path traversed by great leader Heydar Aliyev, its policy, the development of Azerbaijan in various spheres - all it is an entire science. It was conducted by the national leader of Azerbaijan science policy has turned into a scientific center of the former Soviet Union and the world. In 1975, the Great Leader made the celebration of the 30th anniversary of ANAS, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Soviet leadership Academy Awards Order of "Friendship of peoples". In the second period of the Heydar Aliyev science also remained in the spotlight. In September 1993, national leader of ANAS acted with speech content, which can be considered a program of Azerbaijani science of independence. In its report on "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani youth" chairman of the Union of Youth Student Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic, MP of Milli Mejlis Shahin Ismayilov said that the national leader always took care of the children and young people.
