Published the book "Information system of Azerbaijan fauna (Vertebrates)"

The book dubbed "Information system of Azerbaijan fauna (Vertebrates)" by the Institute of Zoology of the Ministry of Science and Education dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, was published.

The book summarizes the results of multi-year research by zoologists of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the history of formation, systematic status, distribution, number, ethology and economic importance of 698 vertebrate species belonging to the class of roundmouths, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. Taxonomy and status of animals, conservation, location on territories and landscapes, settlement characteristics, dynamics, etc. is covered in detail.

The book is intended for a wide readership interested in the fauna of Azerbaijan. The printed book is especially useful for specialists, as well as teachers and students of higher and secondary educational institutions.
