Employees of the Institute of Zoology visited the expedition in Gabala region

The employees of the Parasitology Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS Dr. Biology Ali Nasirov, Ph.D. in Biology Yashar Seyidli and Ph.D. in Biology Fuad Rzayev organized special expedition to the trout farms in Gabala region on May 13-17, 2022 in accordance with the plan of the current year to implement reserach work dubbed "Pathomorphological changes in the application of nanoparticles to fish and their helminths in the Mingachevir reservoir and special fish farms of Gabala region".  During this period, colorful trout of different age groups (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were studied by a complete parasitological splitting method, and a species of infusor - Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, a species of monogenetic sucker - Gyrodactylus derjavini, a species of thorny worm - Pomphorhynchus leavis as well as nematode eggs were found on the gallbladder walls of the fish. All materials were collected and brought to the laboratory. Research is ongoing.
