The report of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists and three departments of the Zoology Institute was listened

At the Scientific Council of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS the report was heard by the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists and by some departments of the institute for the year 2017.

At the reporting event, the chairman of the YSSC, PhD on biology Sabina Bunyatova gave detailed information about the results of the work carried out by young scientists over one year and their activities. He said that 2 monographs, 28 articles and 16 theses were published by the young scientists of the Institute this year. 9 articles and 10 articles were published in scientific journals in abroad.

Public Relations, Education and International Relations Department reports were also listened to at the event.

At the presentation of the Institute's Public Relations Department, it was noted that the work carried out to better publicize the activities of the Institute of Zoology has been strengthened. In the reporting year, many leading media outlets published a large number of information on the activities of the Institute of Zoology.

The Department of Education reported that this year magistracy education has been started for the first time at the Institute of Zoology of ANAS. Currently, at the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, one is enrolled in Entomology. This year 2 PhD in "Parasitology and Zoology", 2 students on "Entomology and zoology", 1 dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Sciences ("Zoology") have been accepted to the Doctorate in PhD. At present 4 specialists in the preparation of doctor of sciences, 4 PhD students and 3 dissertators are trained in the preparation of PhD. In 2017, he defended his doctoral thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and 4 Ph.D., and 3 Ph.D. degrees for the degree of Doctor of Sciences. Three employees, who defended their research in 2016, received their diploma from the Higher Attestation Commission. This year the admission to the doctorate, as well as the minimum exam questions for the doctoral and dissertant have been partially translated into Russian. English language courses at the Institute of Zoology have begun to improve the foreign language skills of doctoral and dissertants.
