Basic scientific achievements	For the first time in Azerbaijan, she carried out a complete inventory of the fauna of trematodes of waterbirds, also a taxonomic analysis of individual taxonomic groups of trematodes, developed identification tables for representatives of the Echinochasmidae family and the genus Echinostoma, which are widespread in the world, analyzed the trematode fauna of each of the various bird species, depending on their bioecological characteristics dependence of infection of waterbirds with trematodes on environmental factors and their migration; identified sources of infection with trematodes; revealed the patterns of distribution of trematodes among different types of hosts and water bodies with different ecological and geographical characteristics; carried out an epizootological and epidemiological assessment of the trematode fauna.
