The indices of ANAS grow in the leading scientific and information bases of the world

ANAS Board of Directors of scientific institutions held at the main ANAS building on March 10.

At the meeting, head of the 

Scientific and Analytical Department of 

ANAS Science-Education Offise Fail Kazimov reported on key indicators of leading scientific databases such as "Web of Science", "Scimago Journal & Country Rank", and the status of using academic social networks.

F. Kazimov gave detailed information about scientific works of the Academy published on the basis of "Web of Science" in 2016, references to them, as well as scientific works of ANAS, published jointly with universities and other research institutions of the republic and foreign scientific structures.

It was noted that, last year scientists of ANAS on the basis of "Web of Science" published 427 scientific papers, of which 97% are articles. This means 56% of scientific publications that are included in the "Web of Science" database in the country. The publication of 25.3% of scientific works included in the database together with foreign scientists is one of the main indicators of the expansion of international relations.

The head of Department noted that, ANAS according to the research of the ScimagoInstitutionsRanking database among 5147 organizations is on the 672nd place, and on the research of the RankingWeb of ResearchCenters database among 7953 organizations - at 1872 places.
