An employee of the Parasitology Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology participated in the 7th Congress of the Russian Society of Parasitologists

Acting Head of the Parasitology Laboratory of MSERA Institute of Zoology, Doctor of biological sciences, Assoc.Prof. Asif Manafov participated in the 7th Congress of the Russian Society of Parasitologists on October 16-20, 2023 in the city of Petrozavodsk, Russian Federation (at the Karelian Scientific Center). At the congress, he delivered a speech entitled "View of parasitism from the position of cause-and-effect relations". The report aroused interest on participants.

On the eve of the congress, was held business meetings with the President of the Russian Society of Parasitologists, Doctor of biological sciences, Professor K.V. Galaktionov, Professor of the Institute of Biology of the Russian AS Karelia Scientific Center, Dr. Yeshko Y.P., Professor of St. Petersburg State University named after Gertsen, Dr. G.L. Atayev, the senior researcher of the AS Institute of Zoology of Russia, Dr. Riss A.Y. and exchanged ideas on topics of interest for future joint scientific-research works. In addition, in individual and group meetings with many parasitologists-scientists from different regions of the Russian Federation (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Pskov, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Vladivostok, Murmansk, etc.), very useful exchanges of ideas were carried out regarding the current problems of modern parasitology. It was reported that the presented report caused a great deal of discussion.
