The researcher of the Terresterial Vertebrates was on an expedition in Shamakhi region

Agil Hakhiyev, the researcher of the "Terresterial Vertebrates" Laboratory of MSERA Institute of Zoology, PhD student, was on an expedition in Shamakhi region on 4.07.2023 - 9.07.2023 on the topic "Evaluation of the species diversity and rare species of rodents and insectivores in Shamakhi region of Azerbaijan".

During the research, general ecological monitoring of mammals was carried out. Among the obtained mammals, Meriones (Pallasiomys) libycus Lichtenstein, 1823 - Red-tailed sand mouse, Allactaga elater Lichtenstein, 1825 - Small Arab hare, Cricetulus migratorius Pallas, 1773 - Gray mouse species were brought to the laboratory for morphological and genetic research.
