The zoologist was awarded the diploma "Record of Reference"

Senior researcher of Zoology Institute of the Ministry of Science and Education, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Natalya Snegovaya was awarded the diploma "Record of Reference" of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

The diploma was presented to the scientist by the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli at the event "Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences: new stage and modern tasks" dedicated to March 27 - Science Day.

N. Snegovaya was awarded for distinction with reference to her scientific works.

For the first time, zoologist N. Snegova described 2 families, 6 genera and 33 species of amoebas (Protozoa, Testacea), 6 genera and 40 species of grasshoppers (Arachnida, Opiliones), and 2 species of dragonflies (Insecta, Odonata) in the fresh waters of Azerbaijan. For the first time in the Caucasus, conducted an ecological study of the structure of communities of grasshoppers in different biotopes. A total of 122 scientific works of his have been published. 103 of them were published abroad, 90 of them were published in high index journals included in Web of Science and Scopus scientific databases. According to the information taken from the global data networks "ResearchGate" and "Google Scholar Citations", the scientific work of N. Snegovaya in the field of research was included in various international electronic systems and they were cited 641 times, while h-index is 15.
