Employees of the hydrobiology laboratory were on an expedition in Baku Bay

The employees of the Hydrobiology Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS - leading researcher, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Anvar Jalilov, junior researchers Arzu Guliyeva and Nigar Mehdiyeva visited Baku Bay on May 31-June 4 to study the role of hydrobionts in assessing the biodiversity and the ecological situation. During the expedition, researchers collected samples of mesoplankton, fishery or non-fishery species of fish. The obtained samples were brought to the laboratory for analysis.

Note that research in Baku Bay will continue on a seasonal basis.
