Young scientists of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS have won the competition announced by the Science Development Fund

The project “Zoological and aerospace methods of investigation of restoration prospects of large mammals species included in the "Red Book of the Azerbaijan Republic" submitted by the young scientists of Dry Invertebrate Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, Elshad Asgarov and Nijat Hasanov to the "Science-Education Integration" competition announced by the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been successfully completed. The project will be implemented jointly with the Bioecology Department staff of BSU for 1 year. Within the framework of the project, the materials will be collected on the current state of the species included in the "Red Book", their modern properties will be explored through aerospace shooting and computer models of residential areas will be prepared. Potential habitat for rare species will be identified, protected and disseminated through the project products. Note that, our young scientists, E. Asgarov and N. Hasanov, studied biology faculty of BSU and entered the post graduate course of our institute in 1997 at the same time. E. Asgarov and N. Hasanov are worthy representation of Azerbaijani science at various international levels.
