Annual reports of scientific-research institutions were discussed at the General Meeting of the Division of Biological and Medical Sciences

The General Meeting of the Biology and Medical Sciences Division (DBMS) of ANAS organized in a hybrid format, discussed the important results of the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of 8 institutes covered by the Division in 2023.

Members of the Division, heads of institutes, heads of departments and laboratories, leading scientists, authors of important scientific results, representatives of universities, scientists from the Republic of Turkiye and others participated in the meeting. Academician Tariyel Talibov from the regions, corresponding members of ANAS Ibrahim Jafarov and Vagif Novruzov joined the meeting online from the Zoom platform.

Announcing the meeting, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Irada Huseynova, Chairman of the Academic Council of DBMS, noted that the large-scale plan of events related to the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" has been fully implemented in 2023. Academician Irada Huseynova, General Director of the Institute of Botany, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Sayyara Ibadullayeva and General Director of the Institute of Zoology, PhD in Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Aladdin Eyvazov were awarded with the Appreciation Letter of ANAS for their distinction in these activities. Then, Academician Irada Huseynova touched on the reforms implemented in the direction of the development of Azerbaijani science, and said that reports on the important results of the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of 8 institutes in 2023 will be discussed during the day.
