Commemoration day of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Institute of Zoology

On December 11, 2023, a meeting dedicated to the commemoration day of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Institute of Zoology. Opening the event with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Acting Director General of the Institute of Zoology, PhD in Agrarian Sciences, Associate Professor Aladdin Eyvazov introduced the participants to the issues on the agenda. Speaking about the short life of the Great Leader, A. Eyvazov said that Heydar Aliyev is one of the most influential statesmen in the political history of the 20th century. Thanks to his brilliant political intelligence and talent, Heydar Aliyev created the new Azerbaijan, its present realities and determined the paths leading to the future. That is why the period of Azerbaijan's history since 1969 is closely related to the name of Heydar Aliyev and is engraved in our history as the Heydar Aliyev period.

Then, the Chairman of the first Party Organization of YAP Yasamal region "504th District", Hafiz Mukhtarov said during his speech that Heydar Aliyev is a genius who can be proud of the national wealth of the Azerbaijani people and the legacy he left behind. The restoration and enrichment of the traditions of statehood in Azerbaijan at the end of the 20th century, the strengthening of Azerbaijan's independence, its eternal and irreversible nature, the confident progress of our country through dynamic economic development, and the rapid growth of its international reputation were made possible thanks to the effective activities of Heydar Aliyev. With his wise leadership, political foresight, determination and perseverance, Heydar Aliyev became known as an outstanding political figure of our time and became the national leader of the Azerbaijani people.

Yegana Mahmudova, chairwoman of the Women's Council of the Institute of Zoology, Dr. Biology, Assoc.Prof. Yegana Mahmudova, made a speech about Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and women's politics. It is an indisputable historical fact that the main principles of state women's policy in our country were defined and raised to the state level precisely because of the name of Heydar Aliyev. He considered it important to promote women in all areas of management, decision-making and social life. Protecting and promoting women's rights in Azerbaijan, giving them high privileges, increasing the participation of women in the implementation of state policy and the adoption of laws have been integral parts of Heydar Aliyev's policy. The important decrees and orders signed by the Great Leader to solve issues related to women were historical steps taken forward in the direction of the realization and guarantee of women's rights. Heydar Aliyev always emphasized that Azerbaijani women, who have special services at all stages of state building, are still using their strength to protect social and political stability and peace in our country, and to further strengthen our national statehood.
