Annual reports of laboratories were listened at the Scientific Council

On October 17, 2023, the next meeting of the scientific council of the MSERA Institute of Zoology was held. Acting Director of the institute, Assoc. Prof. Aladdin Eyvazov, who opened the meeting, informed the members of the council about the issues on the agenda. 

Annual reports of Protozoology, Biochemistry of Parasite-Host Relations and Parasitology laboratories were listened at the meeting. Sequently, the laboratory managers are the corresponding member of ANAS, Ilham Alakbarov, Executive Director, Dr. Biology, Assoc. Prof. Elshad Ahmadov and PhD in Biology, Assoc. Prof. Reyhan Ibrahimova provided detailed information about the scientific research conducted in the current year, their main results, published scientific works, the number of references, personnel training, participation of laboratory employees in domestic and foreign scientific events and activities in the social sphere.

Scientific secretary of the institute, PhD in Biology, Assoc. Prof. Sara Aliyeva delivered a lecture on submission to the publication of Turkan Gurbanova's monograph dubbed "The role of rodents in the spread of coccidia, the causative agents of human opportunistic diseases", and PhD in Biology Elyana Tahirova's monograph entitled "Freshwater amoebas of Lankaran natural province (species composition, ecology and zoogeography)".

Finally, discussions were held, proposals were and relevant decisions were made.
