The next meeting of the Zoological Section on Biology Problems of the Republican Council for Coordinating Scientific Research was held

On October 12, the 3rd meeting of Zoological Section was held at MSERA Institute of Zoology. The meeting was held in a hybrid form on the zoom platform. Experts discussed 3 dissertation topics for obtaining the scientific degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences, and a dissertation topic for obtaining the scientific degree of PhD in Biology. These are following: PhD in Biology, part-time doctoral student of MSERA Institute of Zoology since 2023, Elyana Nail gizi Tahirova on "The role of freshwater mollusks (Mollusca) species diversity, ecology and role in water biocenoses" to receive the doctoral scientific degree in 2401.01 - "Zoology" specialty, PhD in Biology, the dissertator of the Institute of Zoology since 2023, Shafa Ilgar gizi Khasayeva on "Species diversity and ecology of spiders belonging to the families Dysderidae and Thomisidae (Arachnida, Araneae:) in Azerbaijan" to receive the doctoral scientific degree in 2401.01 - "Zoology" specialty, PhD in Biology, the dissertator of the Institute of Zoology since 2023, Aynura Ali gizi Namazova on “Bioecological characteristics of onchocerciasis agents in cattle in Azerbaijan and development of complex control measures against them” in 2429.01- Parasitology specialty, and a doctoral student of ANAS Institute of Zoology since 2018 Karimli Ilaha Ragif gizi on topic “Species diversity, eco-morphology and cytogenetics of some species of Insectivores (Mammalia: Insectivora) in Zagatala-Lahic and Gonagkend physical-geographic regions” to receive the PhD scientific degree in 2401.01 - "Zoology" specialty. The experts asked the applicants various questions related to their topics. After the discussion, the topics were approved and submitted to the Problem Board for discussion.
