The defense of the doctoral dissertation of a young scientist of MSERA Institute of Zoology was held

On September 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at the FD 1.09 Dissertation Council, operating under the Institute of Zoology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held the PhD dissertation defense entitled "The Sedentary birds of the South-Eastern region of Azerbaijan, the factors affecting them and the protection ways" by Sevinj Saadat gizi Rajabova, a researcher of the "Terresterial Vertebrates" laboratory, majoring in 2401.01 - "Zoology". The supervisor of the research work is the head of the Department of Zoology and Physiology of Baku State University,  PhD in Biology in 2401.01 - "Zoology" specialty, Associate Professor Abulfaz Naghi oglu Taghiyev, and the official opponents are the leading researcher of the Department of Zoological Research of the Institute of Bioresources, Nakhchivan Branch of MSERA, Doctor of Biological Sciences in 2401.01 - "Zoology” specialty, Associate Professor Arzu Farman oglu Mammadov, Head of the Department of "Technology of Fish Products Production" of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, Doctor of Biological Sciences in 2401.01 - "Zoology" specialty, Associate Professor Namig Janali oglu Mustafayev, and Head of the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Zoology of the Ganja State University, Doctor of Biological Sciences in 2401.01 - "Zoology" specialty, Associate Professor Vafa Farman gizi Mammadova. 

Elshad Ahmadov, Executive Director of the Institute of Zoology, Chairman of the Dissertation Council, Doctor of Biological Sciences, who opened the event gave the floor to the applicant. At the end of the meeting, the members of the Dissertation Council highly appreciated the research work and noted that the work met the requirements of the High Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
