Employees of the "Terresterial Vertebrates" laboratory were on an expedition in Shamakhi and Ismayilli regions

Employees of the MSERA Institute of Zoology "Terresterial Vertebrates" laboratory: Acting Laboratory Head, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Tavakkul Iskandarov, a leading researcher, PhD in Biology Gulbeniz Gasimova and a researcher Leyla Nadirli visited Shamakhi and Ismayilli regions on August 21-25, 2023. During the expedition, new data on the distribution and bioecology of amphibians, reptiles and mammals in the highlands was obtained. The influence of climatic factors (selva floods) on rare as well as numerous species has been studied.
