The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Zoology was held
On July 19, 2023, a meeting took part by participation of the members of the Scientific Council of the MSE Institute of Zoology, Director of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, PhD in Biological Sciences, Professor Mehman Akhundov, the head of the center's department, PhD in Biological Sciences, Elnara Jafarova, Associate Pofessor of the Department of Zoology and Physiology of Baku State University Chingiz Mammadov, and PhD in Biological sciences, Associate Professor of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Biology and its teaching technology Gachay Ismayilov.
Aladdin Eyvazov, Acting General Director of the Institute of Zoology, PhD in Agrarian Sciences, Assoc. Prof., opened the meeting with the opening speech and introduced the meeting participants to the issues on the agenda. Extensive scientific discussions were held in the fish breeding institutions of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the direction of obtaining gametes and fish larvae of the Caspian (Kura) salmon (Salmo trutta) included in the "Red Book of the Republic of Azerbaijan". The corresponding member of ANAS Ilham Alakbarov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Mehman Akhundov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Shaig Ibrahimov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Asif Manafov, PhD in Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Chingiz Mammadov, PhD in Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Gachay Ismayilov attended in the discussions. Finally, appropriate proposals and decisions were made.
Then, Institute's Honorary Decrees were presented on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the leading researcher of the Institute's Protozoology Laboratory, Associate Professor Naila Isgenderova, the 50th anniversary of the leading researcher of the Laboratory of Biochemistry of Parasite-Host Relations, Associate Professor Farida Mammadova, and the 60th anniversary of the senior researcher of the Parasitology Laboratory, Elnura Aslanova.
