Employees of the Institute of Zoology participated in the international conference

The employees of the Institute of Zoology delivered lectures at the international conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, entitled "Heydar Aliyev and the nature of Azerbaijan": PhD in Biology, Assoc. Prof. Tavakkul Iskandarov on the topic "Modern taxonomy and geophylogeny of field vipers (Vipera/pellas) common in Azerbaijan", a researcher Leyla Nadirli on "Study of species diversity of rodents (Rodentia) using molecular genetic methods in Azerbaijan (in the example of field mice belonging to the genus Microtus)" and a doctoral student Zarnitaj Shukurova on "Saturnia pyri (Lepidoptera: saturniidae) conservation by reintroduction within its native range in the north-west region of Azerbaijan".

During the conference, a researcher Leyla Nadirli was awarded first place for her poster exhibition. Leyla Nadirli and a doctoral student of the institute Zarnitaj Shukurova were awarded with a certificate.
