| Basic scientific achievements | To participate as a performer in scientific research carried out in the laboratory , as well as to prepare thesis about forest and tree pests and entomophages of Lankaran zone Early on 101 kinds of pests belonging to 4 groups and 17 families were distinguished in the forest areas and orchards. 40 species of them cause damage to forests, 41 species to fruit trees and 20 species to both forests and fruit trees. Bioecological characteristics of 27 dominant species, phenology of economically significant 10 species which cause more serious damage, flight dynamics of 13 species, parasites and predators of 16 species have been studied. Early on 7 species of pests referred to fauna of Azerbaijan, 31 species to Lankaran zone; 5 of 89 entomophage species of 4 groups and 12 families referred to fauna of Azerbaijan, 13 species to Lankaran zone. Bioecological characteristics, parasitic relationships of 14 perspective entomophages of detected entomophages and their role in regulating number of pests have been studied. Influence of environmental factors on life acticities of pests and their natural enemies has been investigated for the first time. | |
