Main scientific achievements

As a result of their research, 282 species of spiders belonging to 165 genera in 34 families were recorded in the territory of Gobustan. Two of the discovered species, Pterotricha pseudoparasyriaca Nuruyeva, Huseynov, 2016 and Harpactea gobustanica Nuruyeva & Huseynov, 2021, are new to science. Fifteen species and one genus were recorded for the Caucasus, four species and one genus for Azerbaijan, and 217 species for the fauna of Gobustan. A female individual of Evippa caucasica Marusik, Guseinov & Koponen, 2003 was found and described for the first time.
