Homoptera pests damaging the fruit trees and ornamental plants have been identified

The Institute of Zoology of ANAS has identified pests damaging the fruit trees and ornamental plants.

During the expedition to the Guba-Khachmaz region, employees of the institute discovered Parlatoria oleae - purple lanterns on the fruit trees - peach, apple, pear, animal, Lepidosaphes ulmi-apple comma-type patchwork, park-decorative plants, Diaspidiotus caucasicus-Caucasian pupil pelvis in branches of poppy trees. It was found out that the leaves of the palm trees were damaged by the Ceroplastes Japanese-Japanese woolen pillow, and some decorative plants damaged by waxed pillows.

It was clear that there are Pulvinaria floccifera on quince trees and Pulvinaria aurantii on ornamental plants.

At the same time, it was found that the pseudo-pillow pad of Parthenolecanium persicae-peach was spread from the false pillows to the branches of the mulberry tree and the herbs.

In addition, 5 species of parabus-Rhyzobius lophanthae, Coccinella indecempunctata, Chilocorus bipustulatus, Exochomus flavipes, Chilocorus renipustulatus were detected.
