Italian scientist visited Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS

Fabio Narone, professor of the Department of Anatomy, Histology, court expertise and rthopedics of Rome's La Sapienza University, visited Institute of Genetic Resources (IGR) of ANAS.

At the meeting with director of the Institute, the sides discussed issues of participation in joint grant projects, exchange of students and teachers and agreed to conclude a cooperation agreement.

The Italian guest then made a report on the theme "Role of Pde5 in Heart Hypertension" at the seminar organized by IGR, Institute of Physiology and Azerbaijan Medical University. He said that his group is studying the use of stem cells from teeth and muscles along with other laboratories.

Note that Fabio Narano's visit to Azerbaijan took place within the international grant project of the La Sapienza University of Rome. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the participation of local universities and research institutes in the grant programs, as well as discussing topical issues of future projects.
