Botanical garden of Nakhchivan Branch planted new trees and decorative flower bushes

In order to enrich the raw material base of plant resources at the Botanical Garden of the Institute of Bioresources of the Nakhchivan Division of ANAS are carried out research works on ornamental, medicinal and etheric plants growing in the region and delivered from abroad. In particular, measures are taken to multiply and protect rare and endangered plant species.

In connection with the beginning of the spring-summer season at the Botanical Gardens, along with the care of green plantations, new trees and ornamental flower crops are laid on the experimental plot of the garden.

A large number of houseplants, different types of cactuses, palm, fir-tree trees and others occur among the plants planted on special sites delivered by Director of the Institute of Bioresources, Academician Tariel Talibov, head of Department of the Botanical Garden, PhD in Biology, associate professor Teyyub Pashayev from Institute of dendrology of ANAS, Iran and Turkey, the Batumi Botanical Garden.

Within a few months, the adaptation of planted plants to local conditions will be established. While reproducing new species, it is planned to use them in landscaping works of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, various organizations and farms.

Note that, in the greenhouse established on the territory of the Botanical Garden, equipped with the latest technologies of the company "Ultra Sera", is conducted research on the shoots obtained from the seeds of tropical, subtropical, equatorial plants. In the work on their adaptation to the soil and climate of the autonomous republic, as well as the introduction, great progress has been achived.
