It is important to conduct information exchange between mass media

Central Scientific Library and the Azerbaijani Press Council held an event on "The current situation in information security: cooperation of the media and libraries" on February 8.

At the event, ANAS Vice-President, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the role of the media in informing the public about scientific innovations, the information concerning the reforms in the sphere of science, and the conditions created in the country for the press.

Having put forward to the forefront the importance of relations between ANAS and media organizations Academician I.Habibbeyli expressed confidence in expansion of activities to further strengthen these ties.

Speaking further the chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov spoke about the current state of the media, as well as the progress made in the development of this industry. It was also noted, importance of promoting the exchange of information between media organizations. He stressed that, it can give useful results in promoting the Azerbaijani realities.

Other speakers spoke about the importance of the event, stressed the importance of establishing links between ANAS and the mass media.
