ANAS held a seminar with the participation of Italian scientists

On January 26, at the main building of ANAS, with the participation of representatives of the National Institute of Health (Italy) was organized a seminar on the theme "Environment and health: the experience of Italy and Azerbaijan"

First of all event participants familiarized with the exhibition of scientific achievements of ANAS. Then the seminar began its work.

Opening the event, the Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Dilgam Tagiyev noted the importance of the workshop in terms of attracting public attention to a healthy and safe environment, and the expansion of ties between the scientific institutions of ANAS and the Italian National Institute of Health in the field of environmental safety.

The next speaker was Ambassador of Italy in our country Giampaolo Cutillo, who stressed the importance of development of relations between the research centers of the two countries in various spheres including in the field of environment and human health.

The seminar discussed the prospects of international cooperation with leading scientific organizations of the world, the development of relationships and creating new mechanisms for cooperation.

At the event, reports were presented by Professor of the National Institute of Health Pietro Combos "Epidemiological monitoring in contaminated areas: the experience of Italy", Dr. Danielle Marsili "International scientific cooperation in the field of environmental protection and health: objectives, procedures and case studies," Dr. Laura Achen "Hygiene features of inland waters and research activities. Implementation of the water safety plan in Italy”, Dr. Luigi Turrio Baldassarrini “Evaluation of pollution monitoring to prevention of its effects on humans: the experience of Italy”.

The seminar continues its work.
