The information systems to be created for the National Council for Research Coordination
The meeting of the Presidium of ANAS took place on 18 January was addressed the issue of creation of information systems for the National Council for Research Coordination.
In his speech at the meeting Academician-Secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology, Academician Rasim Aliguliyev noted that an important task is the formation and development of information support of science on the basis of modern technologies, organization and management of research activities through scientometric technologies. Academician said that in recent years, the ANAS carried out consistent and targeted actions in this area: "Important measures in this area are carried out at the National Council for Research Coordination and the Scientific Council on the scientific problem. To coordinate the scientific research, improve the efficiency of basic and applied research, enhance the innovation of their activities are constantly improved and developed.
Academician said that to support the activities of the National Council for Research Coordination there is a need to create a registry (information systems) of scientific problems and thesis topics covering the entire country. Noting that the relevant decree of the Presidium of ANAS has created a website of the National Council for Research Coordination and scientific advice on scientific issues Academician Rasim Aliguliyev added that the analysis of the data, which are periodically placed on these resources, help solve science management.
Academician expressed his confidence that the preservation of information about scientific problems and thesis topics respectively in information systems "Register of scientific problems" and "Register of thesis topics" will play an important role in the organization, coordination, management, monitoring, and evaluating research in the country, the rational use of budget funds for other purposes, detection and elimination of duplication. He stressed that the deployment of database information systems in the data center ANAS ensure their information security.
Considering all the above, the Presidium of ANAS, considering the work to create web sites of the National Council for Research Coordination and scientific advice on the scientific issues completed, ordered their surrender. The meeting also adopted a resolution on the establishment of the "Register of scientific problems" and “Register of the thesis" information system for Republican Council for Research Coordination, implementation of appropriate institutional, scientific and technical work was entrusted to the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.
