Order of the President of the Republic Azerbaijan on holding the 300th anniversary of great Azerbaijani poet Molla Panah Vagif
In 2017 marks the 300th anniversary of great Azerbaijani poet Molla Panah Vagif.
The inclusion of his name to the "Program of anniversaries of outstanding personalities and important events for 2016-2017" UNESCO is a testament to the high assessment of humanistic values in the work of this mighty master of words, which left an indelible mark in the history of Azerbaijan's rich ethnic literature.
Molla Panah Vagif - immortal creator who has created a literary school is distinguished by its traditions. Creating inimitable poetry samples preserved for centuries its importance, it gave impetus to the development of national literature in a new direction.
Due to Azerbaijan Vagif poem came in the next stage of its history. His heritage is one of the brightest pages of history of our classical artistic thought, and today continues to serve the spiritual and moral development of people. Vagif, which entered the history of Azerbaijan and even as a politician, demonstrated the wisdom and foresight in dealing with crucial issues.
Vagif's creativity has always been the object of study, his works were published for mass circulation, carried anniversaries. January 14, 1982 on the direct initiative and with the participation of great leader Heydar Aliyev opened the magnificent mausoleum erected on the grave of the poet in Shusha - the ancient cultural center of Azerbaijan. Armenian armed bandit detachments, occupied Shusha May 8, 1992, in violation of all norms of international law committed acts of vandalism here in relation to culture samples, looted and destroyed about 600 historical and architectural monuments, including the destroyed house museums Khurshidbanu Natavan, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Bulbul and the mausoleum of Molla Panah Vagif.
A deeper study and research in the light of the heritage of Vagif Azerbaijanism ideology is one of the important issues that are still relevant today and are awaiting its decision.
Governed by Clause 32 of Article 109 Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic, in order to ensure decent of the 300th anniversary of great Azerbaijani poet Molla Panah Vagif
I decree:
1. To the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, taking into account the proposals of the Azerbaijani Union of Writers to prepare and implement a plan of events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Molla Panah Vagif.
2. The Cabinet of Ministers to resolve issues arising from this Order.
