Discussed the Action Plan of II Special Department for 2017

Today, II Special Department of ANAS held a meeting devoted to the discussion of Civil Defense (C.D) training results, including organizing issues for 2017.

In advance, martyrs of 20 January tragedy were commemorated for a minute of silence.

Opening the meeting chief department Eldar Guliyev stated that, 20 January events left an indelible mark in the blood memory of the Azerbaijani people and spoke of heroism shown for independence of the country. This massacre of unarmed people at night from January 19 to January 20 is the brutal crime committed before the eyes of the world, he noted.

Then, speaking about organizing issues, E.Guliyev said that, all tasks in institutes and organizations of ANAS have been carried out on time and in accordance with the Civil Defense Action Plan for 2016. Last year was implemented preventive measures due to protect employees working in the scientific institutes and organizations of ANAS, from emergency situations as well as educational work in this area have been strengthened. Under Action Plan, congestion and warning exercises were organized as well. Exercises have been held at the Institutes of Control Systems, Geology and Geophysics, Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, Botany, Oriental Studies, including at the Central Scientific Library and Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory at high level of “Exercise of Steering Staff”.

Chiefs of Headquarters – Eldar Asadov, Taleh Mammadov, Niyameddin Usubov, Khalig Hasanov probated at the C.D courses and got cards in academic year of 2016, was noted.

E.Guliyev brought to mind the storage of personal protective equipment and their efficiency for use in 33 enterprises and institutions due to oversight C.D events in 2016.
