An educational workshop by “Thomson Reuters" organization

On November 28, at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS, "Thomson Reuters" organization has held an educational workshop for scientists and specialists of an academy titled as "Web of Science” Data Platform: international standards of modern scientific publications". The aim of the workshop to inform scientists and experts of scientific institutions of ANAS on key elements and capabilities, information resources related to international "Web of Science" Data Platform as well as familiarity with the rules of publication on the international scientific journals.

Reporting at the event Vice-President of ANAS Academician Ibrahim Guliyevreminded the signing of agreement between ANAS and “Thomson Reuters” organization in October this year. Within the agreement it was possible to benefit from “Web of Science” Data Platform for scientific enterprises of ANAS.

Making a presentation on “Web of Science” Data Platform, a delegate of “Thomson Reuters” for CIS countries Valentin Bogorov stated that, database of leading international scientific publications, database of academic references, including databases for a number of scientific studies locate on this platform. He informed about indexes of academic journals, covering natural, technical, social, humanitarian and other spheres, and their level of international reference.

Effectively use of search tools on "Web of Science" has been illustrated at the workshop.
