ANAS established to set up Anti-Pseudoscience Commission

In a meeting of the Presidium of ANAS it was decided to set up Anti-Pseudoscience Commission

Multifaceted reforms implemented in recent years in the field of scientific activities, in particular as a result of measures aimed at promoting this activity, significantly increased the authority of science in society. It basically has a positive impact strengthening youth inflow in this sector. But in regard to the scientific activity is observed a number of negative trends. In particular, the increasing interest in pseudoscience, strengthening activities related to imitation of science in recent years.

Considering all of the above, the Presidium adopted a resolution on the establishment of the Commission for the purpose of promoting understanding and communication to the public of pseudoscientific claims, as well as carrying out awareness-raising activities to combat pseudoscience. The composition of the Anti-Pseudoscience Commission was approved.
