Regular meeting of the scientific seminar under the Dissertation Council was held

On October 30, 2025, the next meeting of the Dissertation Council of the Institute of Zoology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. At the meeting, the dissertation work of Leman Bahram gizi Dadashova, a doctoral student at the Applied Zoology Center of the Institute of Zoology, titled “Study of the distribution and genetic diversity of Hirudo orientalis species in the water reservoirs of the Guba-Khachmaz and Lankaran-Astara regions of Azerbaijan,” was discussed at the scientific seminar under the Dissertation Council.

It should be noted that the scientific supervisors of the dissertation are PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Adil Aliyev and PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov.

At the end of the discussion, taking into account the scientific and practical significance of the dissertation, it was considered appropriate to submit Leman Bahram gizi Dadashova’s dissertation, entitled “Study of the distribution and genetic diversity of Hirudo orientalis species in the water reservoirs of the Guba-Khachmaz and Lankaran-Astara regions of Azerbaijan,” in the specialty 2401.01 – Zoology, for the next stage of consideration, as the work meets the requirements set by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for dissertations submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biology.
