Employees of the Institute of Zoology undertook an expedition

From July 10 to 15, 2025, employees of the MSE RA Institute of Zoology undertook an expedition. In accordance with the thematic project, PhD Konul Tapdıgova, Head of the Paleozoology Laboratory at the MSE RA Institute of Zoology, Associate Professor and scientific researcher Kazim Mammadov from the Mingachevir Scientific Experimental Base, collected various zooplankton samples from the Yenikand and Shamkir reservoirs. Samples were collected using classic methods recognized in hydrobiology, employing an Apstein plankton, a net as the sampling apparatus, and a 4% formalin solution for specimen fixation. A total of 28 quantitative samples were gathered from the two reservoirs and brought to the laboratory for analysis.
